Rice malt is an excellent natural sweetener, made from malted barley and rice. The enzymes in the sprouted barley break down the starches in the rice into simpler sugars that give the rice malt its typical sweet taste. Because of its good flavor and smooth texture, it can be spread on bread, biscuits and rusks or used to sweeten tea, herbal tea, coffee and cakes.
